I am sensitive to jewelry, can I wear the jewelry in your shop?
While everyone is different, I can assure you that all of my handmade button earrings are made with hypoallergenic, nickel free surgical steel posts, backings and clip ons. My handmade earrings are light weight and very comfortable for daily wear. That also goes for my clip ons, they do not pinch! (Yay!)
When it comes to vintage jewelry, there is no absolute way of knowing without testing the metals, if it's nickel free or hypoallergenic. Most vintage costume jewelry was made using a mixed base metal, and then triple-plated with either gold or silver. This process allows the base metal to be farther away from the skin. However, everyone is different so it's at your own discretion if you have sensitivities to metals.
How do I keep fabric button earrings clean?
Avoid submerging your jewelry in water, as that will cause unnecessary tarnishing on any exposed metal parts.
Keep your jewelry clean by removing it before using any chemicals, perfumes, hair sprays, etc.
You may spot clean the fabric with clear soap and water; make sure that you dry it off immediately. (I wear makeup daily and this always works for mine)
